Two Youth Arrested for Ganja Consumption in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: In a crackdown on drug abuse, Mangaluru police arrested two individuals in separate cases of ganja consumption under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The first arrest was made by Kavoor police, who apprehended Manish (28), a local resident, for consuming drugs in a public area near Bondel Krishna Nagar. Authorities acted swiftly upon receiving a tip-off, ensuring strict action against drug-related offenses in the city.

In another case, Bunder police arrested 18-year-old Savinraj, a resident of TT Road, who was found in an intoxicated state on the road leading to the old port. Law enforcement officials have reiterated their commitment to curbing substance abuse and maintaining public order. The arrests highlight the ongoing efforts of the police to tackle drug consumption and send a strong message against such activities. Further investigations are underway.
