MP Captain Brijesh Chowta Backs Railway Budget Demand in Parliament

In a recent parliamentary session, MP Captain Brijesh Chowta strongly supported the budget allocation for the railway sector, highlighting the transformative changes witnessed in Indian Railways under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that over the past decade, Indian Railways has undergone unprecedented modernization, significantly enhancing efficiency, connectivity, and passenger experience.

He credited the central government's vision for introducing high-speed rail projects, electrification, and infrastructure upgrades that have propelled the sector into a new era of growth.

Drawing attention to his constituency’s railway needs, Captain Brijesh Chowta urged the government to focus on three key proposals. He advocated for the merger of Konkan Railway and the Hassan-Mangalore Railway Development Company (HMRDC) with Indian Railways to streamline operations and improve connectivity. Additionally, he called for a reorganization of the Mangalore Railway Administration to ensure better management and development of the region’s railway network. His speech underscored the necessity of these reforms to accelerate economic growth and improve transportation in Karnataka.
