Major Road development Launched: Suratkal to BC Road Gets Rs 28.58 Crore grant.

In a significant step toward improving regional connectivity, a high-demand maintenance project for the Suratkal–BC Road port-link route was officially launched today. Spearheaded by MP Captain Brijesh Chowta’s initiative, the project has secured a substantial grant of Rs 28.58 crore. The groundbreaking (Guddali Pooje) ceremony took place near Govinda Dasa College in Suratkal, marking the commencement of the much-anticipated development work.

The event witnessed the presence of MLA Dr. Bharath Shetty Y, local representatives, and a large number of citizens, reflecting the public's strong support for the initiative. Once completed, the upgraded route is expected to ease transportation bottlenecks, boost trade, and enhance accessibility between key port and inland regions.
