Mangaluru: The Koti-Chennayya Seva Brigade, renowned for its active involvement in educational, sports, and social initiatives over the past four years, is set to organize the third edition of its state-level tug-of-war competition. The event is scheduled for February 23 at the Karavali Utsav Grounds in Mangalore. Kiran Kumar Kodikal, the organization's president, announced this during a recent press conference. He highlighted the brigade's commitment to community service, including financial assistance to visually impaired artists and support for children affected by AIDS. The upcoming championship aims to promote traditional sports and foster community engagement.

The competition is expected to draw teams from various districts across Karnataka, showcasing their strength and teamwork in the traditional sport of tug-of-war. The event not only celebrates physical prowess but also honors the cultural heritage associated with Koti and Chennaya, legendary twin warriors revered in the Tulu Nadu region.
