Mangaluru: In a major boost for rail connectivity in the region, Member of Parliament Captain Brijesh Chowta announced that the much-anticipated extension of the Kabaka Puttur Express to Subramanya Junction will be officially flagged off on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Union Minister of State for Railways, Shri V. Somanna, will preside over the flagging-off ceremony at 4 PM at Mangalore Central Railway Station. Captain Chowta shared the news with great enthusiasm, calling it a moment of joy and fulfillment of a long-pending demand of the local populace.

Captain Chowta, who has been actively pursuing the extension with the Union Ministry of Railways, highlighted the importance of this development for both daily commuters and railway enthusiasts. “This is a significant milestone for our region's railway infrastructure.
