New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) surged ahead in the early trends of the Delhi Assembly Election 2025, with its candidates leading in 43 seats by 10 AM, an hour after the Election Commission began the vote counting process at 8 AM. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has been in power since 2015, was trailing but maintaining a strong presence, leading in over 25 seats. As the results unfold, both parties remain optimistic about securing a majority in the 70-member assembly, with the final outcome expected to shape the political future of the national capital.

Voting for all 70 constituencies took place on February 5, with a high voter turnout reflecting strong public interest in the elections. The BJP, aiming to end AAP’s decade-long rule, has focused its campaign on governance, infrastructure, and law and order, while AAP has emphasized its track record in education, healthcare, and free electricity schemes. As counting progresses, political analysts predict a tough fight, with key constituencies likely to determine the final outcome. The Election Commission has urged patience as postal ballots and EVM votes are systematically tallied to declare the official results.
